All interested fellows will engage in research activity. Fellows continuing in a second fellowship year will devote a substantial block period, with minimal clinical responsibility, to research or advanced training. The research activity within the Wayne State University School of Medicine, including the Institute of Gerontology will provide a broad spectrum of opportunity to conduct supervised research. Fellows may also consider combining geriatric fellowship training with other related programs.
